The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami, FL

The Frost Museum of Science in Miami is a landmark destination for tourists and locals alike. This building is a beautiful structure in the heart of Miami Museum Park, right on Biscayne Blvd. and 11th street. The museum offers countless exhibitions that take place throughout the weekdays and weekends for all to see, and specializes in sharing the importance of science, innovation, and investigation into our own world and future. The museum is divided into 4 different buildings- the Frost Aquarium, Planetarium, and Noth & West wings. There are countless topics to educate yourself on including, physics on light, flight, and lasers, as well as the universe, human body, human mind, and much more. 

If you are into science, engineering, technology, and math (STEM) there are many different interactive shows & exhibitions to view. Frost Museum of Science in Miami is also an educational hub for local summer caps and after school programs. 

Is a fun expedition and exploration into our planet and its natural satellite. Learn about the physics of the moon and its attributes while creating your own moon observation journal. We go into detail about the relationship our earth has with the moon, too. 

Dig deep into your passion for all living things including the wide world of plants. Learn about the functions, cells, basics, and comparisons to plants we see in our everyday life. Compare and contrast the difference in the lives of plants and animals. We are a lot more similar than you might think! Dissect plants with us and discover how scientists create plant imprints to store and record. From here we go into the way plants adapt to their environment and the most extreme examples we have of this on earth! 

Looking for a fun reason to dress up in costume? The Frost Science members are invited to best the first viewers of the exhibition Nature’s Superheroes: Life at the Limits. This exhibition details superpowers we see in nature through powerful organisms that have evolved and survived for thousands of years under duress and extreme conditions. Learn more about our earth’s most unbelievable, bizarre, and unusual creatures. This is a costume party, and all who dress up can enter to win special prized for our one night only Nature’s Superheroes Costume Contest. Dress up as your favorite animal, plant, superhero, or villain, or come up with your own combo costume. The category is “superheroes” but we aren’t a tough crowd! 

Members are encouraged to enter our special, one-night-only Nature’s Superheroes Costume Contest to win special prizes. Come dressed as your favorite superhero, villain, animal, plant or a combination of any of those combined – the more original the better!
